We are seeking a Welder who has the necessary skills and experience to roll up his or her sleeves and jump right into the production workflow. The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of organization and will have sufficient technical expertise to effectively prioritize and manage the fast-paced workload. Must be highly committed to delivering top notch customer service on a tightly managed schedule.

With a steady schedule of Monday through Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm (overtime will be required when necessary) you won’t want to miss this opportunity! The following are necessary skills and specific tasks which shall be completed with a high level of proficiency:

  • Support Rainier’s Quality and Environmental policies.
  • Support the Rainier Safety Initiative.
  • Remain flexible to other tasks assigned by your Supervisor or Manager.
  • Chose proper materials to use as called out on Job Tracker.
  • Adhere to target hours
  • Ability to read measuring devices (i.e. measuring tape. Calipers, angle finder).
  • Ability to lift 50-75 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Able to communicate with, and respect the team.
  • Be able to read and interpret drawings and fabricate most Shelter products
  • Proof the drawings for errors and provide feedbacBe highly proficient at welding both steel and aluminum using TIG and MIG processes.
  • Become knowledgeable of all Shelter Fabrication products.
  • Have good understanding of all tools used, able to maintain and preform minor repairs
  • Assist in daily inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Lead redundancyk to supervisor
  • Be proficient at welding both steel and aluminum using TIG and MIG processes.

Our ideal candidate would:

  • Be highly proficient in welding Aluminum in the TIG process using a thumb slider
  • Be proficient in MIG welding Steel
  • Be proficient grinding and sanding
  • Be able to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
  • Be proficient with windows operating system
  • Needs to be willing to stay late to get a job done when required
  • Be able to work as a team and work alone as needed
  • Needs to be able to multitask throughout the day
